Migrant Education

This program was originally established in 1966 as amendment to Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Educational Act and is currently authorized by Chapter I of the Hawkings-Stanford Elementary and Secondary School Improvement Act. The general purpose of this program is to provide educational opportunities that meet the special needs of children of current and former migratory agricultural workers and fishers.
