Technology Standards

	Massachusetts Technology Literacy Standards and Expectations     The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council (MTLC) worked with a group of educators and business partners to revise our instructional technology standards. These standards incorporate the ISTE NETS and the Partnership for 21st Century Skills into three broad standards, which are broken down by grade level. The standards were approved by the Massachusetts Board of Education on April 29, 2008.
	Technology Self- Assessment Tool (TSAT) TSAT allows teachers to determine their own levels of technology proficiency and professional development needs. TSAT also allows schools and districts to access aggregated data from their teachers in order to better focus their professional development efforts.
	Sample Administrator Technology Self-Assessment Tool This sample tool is designed to assist superintendents, principals, and other administrators in their leadership role of implementing appropriate technology in their schools.
	Recommended Criteria for Distance Learning Courses These guidelines were developed to help educators identify quality online courses for themselves and their students.
	Recommended Criteria for Evaluating Instructional Technology Materials     An evaluation chart that schools can use when selecting software and related materials.
